Of course he didn't fancy her. She was a filthy Mudblood, and Snapes had been pureblooded since the time of Elizabeth Tudor, even if the family fortune had disappeared during Victoria's reign.

He'd only tutored her because Dumbledore'd asked. He certainly hadn't enjoyed spending time with her.

Seeing her finally yield to Potter had nothing to do with his decision to join the Death Eaters, just as, four years later, word of her impending murder had nothing to do with his abrupt change of allegiance.

Lily Evans was a filthy Mudblood, and Severus Snape most definitely did not love her.
